Inspiration for pieces explained: Carnelian Earrings

I love the 'Drunken Bricklayer' vase by Whitefriers, and when I first got these carnelians, I realised that was what I was going to get! None of them have been drilled centrally, giving a wonderful and eccentric look to these gorgeous earrings.

Inspiration for pieces explained: Fire Bracelet

Carnelian is a warm and wonderful stone to work with. To give the bracelet texture I used two sizes of stone.

Inspiration for pieces explained

Carnelian Cuff Bracelet

These beads are just so amazing! Each one has a cut-out for a bead, and although I could have used a contrasting colour or more carnelian, I decided on silver to give a shimmer to the piece, and not make the colours too overwhelming. I also like that it makes the piece 'metal' without being too masculine.
