Inspiration for pieces explained: Victorian Jet Necklace

I love jet, and wanted to do something special with these pieces. Although they are oddments, taken from Victorian jewellery, I think they work very well in this necklace.

p.s. And don't forget, we can customise any piece, make it longer, shorter, or change the fitting! Just ask!

Inspiration for pieces explained: Victorian Jet Carved Earrings

I adore Victorian Whitby Jet, and these are such a wonderful shape! Probably from a necklace, I found these beads in a lot several years ago, and after much debate decided that they needed to be earrings. Lovely!

Inspiration for pieces explained: Victorian and Crystal Cuff Bracelet

I had enough beads to make a simple cuff of all jet beads for this, then disaster struck, and I broke a bead. Although it could be repaired, I knew it would never be good enough.

So instead, I used some vintage rough-cut rock crystal beads to act as spacers between the jet, and allow me to get rid of the broken bead. I think the end result is amazing, far better than my original plans.

Inspiration for pieces explained: Victorian Jet Necklace

This piece was born of desperation, trying to find a way of mounting such a large piece of jet elegantly, and stopping it from twisting outwards. By stringing it between two doubled-up chains I think I managed to find a successful solution.
