I created an apple tree necklace, and adored it. I wanted to create another, and as I love blossom in spring, decided to go for an all-white look. Of course this just had to be pearls. The effect is stunning, and I just love it.

I adore the richness of red garnet and the creamy white of pearls. Adding them together is just a dream combination for me, and the flat, round shape of the garnets frames each pearl beautifully.

I adore these garnets, the red is just so rich that I wanted to pair them up with a pearl. I chose these pearls as they have a wonderful, crisp, white colour, and a stunning glow to them. Lovely.

I adore peridot as it has such a fresh, clean green. It reminds me of spring, when every leaf is brand new. Putting it with pearls just emphasises the clarity of the colour, making a very fresh, but rich, piece. I wanted to make a luxurious necklace from these stones, and needed to frame them with pearls because I wanted the peridots to really shine. And boy, do they!

I wanted to create a pair of statement earrings, and I wanted to use some gorgeous roundel beads I had. Pairing them with a pearl was easy, the contrast in the colours is just so delicious!

I owned these beads for years before realising that with a pearl, they make the most delightful, summery jewellery! I played around with the arrangement quite a lot, as I had had the beads for so long it was difficult to find exact matches, so I opted for making do with what I had. I decided that a single pearl was best, and that several butterflies on the necklace would make it decorative, but not too heavy. The first time I paired a butterfly and a pearl I knew I was onto a winner.

This started off life as a pearl necklace (although linked, not strung). I wanted to put a single focal bead on it, reminiscent of Elizabethan jewellery, but at the time I only had one size of pearl, so instead I decided to create the frill of pearls instead.
Ironically it still has an Elizabethan style to it, and I'm planning additional versions that include different stones. Suggestions always welcome!

I had a lot of seed pearls, and decided to see if I could string them in rows. I added garnets to 'trim' the piece as it was missing something. I love the end result, it's really quirky!

I wanted to work with gold, so decided to get the best pearls possible, and string them onto 9ct gold very simply. I love these pieces as they work so well, and have created my own version!

I love the charm that hangs from these pieces, it was described as a leaf, but I couldn't help see them as feathers. I added a tower of pearls above them because I felt they needed richness without being overwhelmed, and I felt that the pearls gave a 'feathery' feel to the piece. Love them very much!

As these are very delicate pearls, both in size and colour, I knew they would be overwhelmed with a heavy setting, so I went for a delicate setting that would gather the pearls together. You then get a delicate look, but blocks of colour.

I love simplicity and complexity in jewellery, and I love multi-layered bracelets. I rarely wear multiple bracelets, so the chance to make one that looks like many was too much to resist! I thought the bracelet ended up looking like a choker style necklace, very elegant. I added a bit of detail at the 'back' (or front?) of the bracelet of three silver spacer beads just to give that little extra to the piece.

I adore simple but complex jewellery. These pearls are simply gorgeous, and I wanted to create a waterfall effect across the throat, a cascade of silver and pearl. When you wear this piece it is so amazing, the silver and pearls have such movement.

I found this amazing stone and had to make a necklace with it! As the stone is very large, I decided that the best way to display it so the stone would show correctly, was by putting it onto a pearl necklace. This then supports the stone so it doesn't turn as you wear it, and allows you to show off the amazing piece you have!

I wanted a romantic piece, and decided that a heart would fit the bill perfectly. I decided that the shape said it all, but added garnets and silver beads to give the piece texture.

I fancied a small choker for these beads, but rather than having a dangle, I decided to turn them sideways to make a change. I also used an unusual trace chain to add to the piece.
