I found the vintage mother-of-pearl leaves at a Vintage Fair on a disintegrating necklace. I had to have them! I paired them with the peridot because it is such a living, green colour. I love the set so much I made another just for me!

This necklace was designed to show off these unusual stones. I decided to have them all facing the same way rather than half-and-half, and I think it works really well. It certainly adds a lot of sparkle to the neck!

I owned these beads for years before realising that with a pearl, they make the most delightful, summery jewellery! I played around with the arrangement quite a lot, as I had had the beads for so long it was difficult to find exact matches, so I opted for making do with what I had. I decided that a single pearl was best, and that several butterflies on the necklace would make it decorative, but not too heavy. The first time I paired a butterfly and a pearl I knew I was onto a winner.

I love jet, and wanted to do something special with these pieces. Although they are oddments, taken from Victorian jewellery, I think they work very well in this necklace.

I found these butterflies online at the same time I bought the chalcedony, and felt that they made the perfect pair. I did try to make matching earrings, but settled for just the chalcedony as the butterflies were very heavy!

I wanted to work with gold, so decided to get the best pearls possible, and string them onto 9ct gold very simply. I love these pieces as they work so well, and have created my own version!

This is inspired by Gypsy jewellery, but for my version I used smaller 'coins' which are really just circles with patterned edges. I decided to make the necklace and bracelet different as I'm not a big fan of completely matching sets, I like it when they have similar detail, but not identical. In the bracelet the coins are each added to the bracelet chain with a small link, where as the necklace includes the coin on the links of the necklace itself.
