Inspiration for pieces explained: Pentagon Amethyst Necklace

These stones have the most exquisite cut, and wonderful depth of colour. There was really only one option, I had to make it simple, but I think the end result is stunning.

Inspiration for pieces explained: Garnet and Pearl Necklace

I adore the richness of red garnet and the creamy white of pearls. Adding them together is just a dream combination for me, and the flat, round shape of the garnets frames each pearl beautifully.

Inspiration for pieces explained: Glamorous Garnet and Rock Crystal Necklace

The garnets in this necklace were just crying to be shown off. I had the square profile rock crystals, and though they both mirrored the shape of the garnets, but also brought forward that wonderfully rich, deep red. But how to use them? Side by side the two types of stone locked together and would have left very ugly wire showing if I could get it to bend! However, the simple addition of a silver bead between each garnet means that the necklace is now both flexible, and extra gorgeous!

Inspiration for pieces explained: Amethyst Graduated Trio Drop Earrings

I had bought a graduated strand of the most amazing amethysts. Instead of just stringing them into a necklace, I made them into a bracelet, but not before I kept back six matching beads, paired to three different sizes. This then allowed me to make these stunning earrings, that have all the colour depth, texture, and interest anyone could ever want,

Inspiration for pieces explained: Blue Topaz Diamond Earrings

I love topaz, and love these delicate stones. As they were drilled at the top of the 'diamond' shape, I decided I may as well show off the clarity and colour of the stones with a simple setting.

Inspiration for pieces explained: Czarina Necklace

I adore red and yellow together, and these work so well I couldn't resist. The strong yellow citrine with that deep, rich red garnet, all enhanced with the pretty and sparkly rock crystal. All in all, fit for a queen.
