Inspiration for pieces explained: Amethyst Beady Bead Earrings

I'm always looking for something different, so when I discovered the joys of making a 'beady bead' (a big bead made from smaller beads), I just had to give it a go. I adore this technique because you get a delicate, lacy effect in the large bead, with detail from the smaller ones. I used solid silver wire to create these, I didn't want to spoil the piece by using anything else.

p.s. And don't forget, I can customise any piece just for you, make it longer, shorter, or change the fitting! Just ask!

Inspiration for pieces explained: Blossom Tree Necklace

I created an apple tree necklace, and adored it. I wanted to create another, and as I love blossom in spring, decided to go for an all-white look. Of course this just had to be pearls. The effect is stunning, and I just love it.

I adore amber, the orange colour is so striking, and I wanted to make sure the stones were shown at their best, with no clutter.

I love these beads, the pretty pattern is very well done, and gives this piece a lot of interest. I wanted to add silver beads to it to complete the look.

Inspiration for pieces explained: Give Me Your Heart Necklace

I wanted a romantic piece, and decided that a heart would fit the bill perfectly. I decided that the shape said it all, but added garnets and silver beads to give the piece texture.

Inspiration for pieces explained: Green Leaf Necklace

I found the vintage mother-of-pearl leaves at a Vintage Fair on a disintegrating necklace. I had to have them! I paired them with the peridot because it is such a living, green colour. I love the set so much I made another just for me!

Inspiration for pieces explained: Frothy Three Silver Necklace

This design was inspired by the Frothy Silver necklace (http://www.jewellerydragon.com/N22038.htm), and is like a commission piece I made just before Christmas. I loved the idea of graduating beads, it's very elegant, and reminiscent of Indian pieces.
