Inspiration for pieces explained

London Blue Topaz Necklace

I like simplicity when the piece itself is very strong, or elaborately shaped. The colour in this pendant is very gorgeous, and I felt it needed to stand on its own.

Questions from the curious

 So why jewellerydragon?

Dragons are famous for having hordes of precious things, jewellery, gold cups, crowns, but DragonHorde didn't quite appeal, it didn't sound playful, in fact it sounded a little Role-Playing to me.

So I came up with JewelleryDragon, a specialist dragon that only wants precious things, and filled my store with that!

Autumnal Flower Necklace

I love tourmaline, and this is a very fine example. With such a cute, and simple piece, I decided that adding additional stones would take away from the unique nature of the piece.

Opposites Attract Bracelet

I love the glossy feel of hematite, and mother-of-pearl is exceptionally pretty. I love black and white combinations myself, and decided that the not-as-black as onyx hematite was a good foil to the not-quite-white of the mother-of-pearl.

I especially love this piece because of it's silky feel, although I had to work hard to make sure the pattern of the beads was even, and not stripy!

Pink Delight Bracelet

Finding good rose quartz is difficult, as it is actually a very pale stone. When I found these I knew I wanted something frothy, but also needed to have them close together to help emphasise the colour.

I was also pleased that there were different sizes of bead to give texture and movement to the piece, the silver with the pink helps too!

Mossy Stones Bracelet

I enjoyed the cubic feel of these stones, and wanted a tactile piece that you could play with, so had to create a bracelet. I feel that together they make a really elegant, but different piece.
