Inspiration for pieces explained: Amethyst Star Drop Silver Necklace and Earrings

I loved these beads from the moment I saw them. The first piece I created was the necklace, feeling that a simple string of the beads would be more effective than grouping them. However, for the earrings, I realised that I could do something similar to the Amethyst Elegant Drop Earrings (http://www.jewellerydragon.com/E22008.htm) and have a 'shooting star' effect. I think these both work really well as the necklace sits nicely on the collarbone, and because the earrings dangle, they have a lot of life and interest. In each way, they show off the stones perfectly, and work very well.

Inspiration for pieces explained: Blue chalcedony necklace

This is inspired by Georgian pieces that are amazingly beautiful. I added 'swags' either side to mirror and frame the long stone.
