Inspiration for pieces explained: Garnet and Pearl Drop Earrings

I adore these garnets, the red is just so rich that I wanted to pair them up with a pearl. I chose these pearls as they have a wonderful, crisp, white colour, and a stunning glow to them. Lovely.

Inspiration for pieces explained: Peridot and Pearl Necklace

I adore peridot as it has such a fresh, clean green. It reminds me of spring, when every leaf is brand new. Putting it with pearls just emphasises the clarity of the colour, making a very fresh, but rich, piece. I wanted to make a luxurious necklace from these stones, and needed to frame them with pearls because I wanted the peridots to really shine. And boy, do they!

Inspiration for pieces explained: Oh My! Sparkling Ruby and Rock Crystal Earrings

I really wanted to create a special range of jewellery, and the most precious gems available were the obvious choice. However, as I wanted to create an affordable range, I wanted to distribute the stones within the pieces, while still giving them the maximum impact. This was partially inspired by some incredible 'triangular' stones I had found, that I wanted to use in a special a piece as possible.

These became earrings in the Oh My! range. So, I decided to use rock crystal. Because of the high-sparkle impact of the stones, and the refractive qualities, it takes the rubies and really emphasises them to the max. Stunning, and very exiting! Next step, diamonds :)
