Hawk's eye is one of those unusual stones you don't see too often. It has a lovely chatoyancy (like silk) in a grey-blue that makes a stunning statement. I wanted the set to be as simple as possible, and devised a new form of setting to stop the stones rocking.

I love these mini-pyrite squares. I didn't want them to loose their shapes, by stacking them, for example, but neither did just one look right. So I layered them up, to a stunning effect. Good job I didn't go for the large size of gem, pyrite is very heavy! These are just the perfect weight though.

Solar quartz are just stunning. Made from slices cut from stalactites, it has such a snowy, striking look that I wanted to make sure as much of the stone was visible as possible.
