Pure Gold, Pure Pearl Trio Earrings    

 I decided to make earrings to go with the Pure Gold, Pure Pearl necklace and bracelet set, 

and wanted to make a trio drop. I started with the largest stone as I think it's a different but elegant look.

Beading clip

You can see how difficult the gold wire is to work with, it doesn't help that it is paired with very large, round pearls that are difficult to grip. 

The basic principle is to create a hoop at one end, thread the bead on, then create another hoop at the end. Simple...until you have to do 40 to create a necklace! 

If I look awkward it's because I've got the camera in front of me as I try to see and stay in shot.

My jewellery

Blue topaz bracelet    

Blue topaz is my birthstone, so I wanted to create a bracelet. However, it was very difficult to find stones that I really liked, they were too pale, or not very good quality. I stumbled across these pear-shaped stones and instantly loved them. 

They were sold strung with the stones graduated, the largest in the centre, but I decided to randomise the stones to give the piece texture.

I love it, it's a fantastic piece to wear.

Eccentric Necklace    

  

I wanted to make something different, and when I found the Karen Silver hammered rings it all came together.

I decided to use plan crystal in the necklace as well to add sparkle and a glassy texture to the piece. I love the different sizes and shapes in this piece, and it's really fun to wear!
