Pearls have a lovely shine to them, and pairing them up with quartz always works well, you get such a lovely sparkle from the facets. However, using frosted quartz gives a stunning look too, but in a different way. This time it is the pearls that give the shine, with the quartz adding a gorgeously soft look. Overall the piece then ends up subtler and softer, but no less glamorous.

I was given a vintage glass necklace with stunning beads, each contains all the colours of the rainbow. As the overall effect was rather too much, I decided to create a necklace with black agate and the pretty glass beads. It works really well as the gleaming black grounds and emphasises the rainbow shafts of light that come off the pretty stones.
