Inspiration for pieces explained: London Blue Topaz Necklace

I like simplicity when the piece itself is very strong, or elaborately shaped. The colour in this pendant is very gorgeous, and I felt it needed to stand on it's own.

Inspiration for pieces explained: Frothy Silver Necklace

I love this piece. I wanted to capture the feeling of being on the beach when the tide comes in, and decided to use silver beads to get the frothy feel of the foam. The piece has large, medium and small beads in it, all layered so they give lots of texture and depth. Gorgeous!

Inspiration for pieces explained: Silver and amethyst cascading necklace

These tiny stones are just perfect when grouped. I wanted to get an Indian Maharaja feel to the necklace, capture the decadence of that period in Indian history. This is a wonderful piece to wear, and makes me feel very regal!

Inspiration for pieces explained: Towering Garnet and Pearl Earrings

I wanted to create a pair of statement earrings, and I wanted to use some gorgeous roundel beads I had. Pairing  them with a pearl was easy, the contrast in the colours is just so delicious!

Inspiration for pieces explained: Gorgeous Garnet Bracelet

I love garnets and silver, they enhance each other so well! I wanted to give this piece texture, so I used a couple of sizes in the stone. The piece works really well as it is such a delight to wear, lots of dangle!

Inspiration for pieces explained: Red Berries Coral Bracelet

I found these beads and knew I wanted to make a rich, colourful bracelet out of them. I chose to layer the beads rather than string them as I thought it would give texture and life to the coral.

It looks wonderful on, and is a terrific piece to wear!

Inspiration for pieces explained: Green Amethyst Pencil Necklace

This amethyst is a wonderful shape and colour, I would have a pair of earrings except I couldn't buy a matching pair. I decided that it was far too pretty to pass, and snapped it up, turning it into this pretty piece.

Inspiration for pieces explained: Crystal Sparkle Necklace

This necklace was designed to show off these unusual stones. I decided to have them all facing the same way rather than half-and-half, and I think it works really well. It certainly adds a lot of sparkle to the neck!
