Inspiration for pieces explained: Oh My! Ruby Earrings

I really wanted to create a special range of jewellery, and the most precious gems available were the obvious choice. However, as I wanted to create an affordable range, I wanted to distribute the stones within the pieces, while still giving them the maximum impact. This was partially inspired by some incredible 'triangular' stones I had found, that I wanted to use in a special a piece as possible. These became earrings in the Oh My! range.

So, I decided to use rock crystal. Because of the high-sparkle impact of the stones, and the refractive qualities, it takes the rubies and really emphasises them to the max. I went for these larger rock crystals, and not the stones that inspired me to create a different look. Stunning, and very exiting! Next step, diamonds :)

Inspiration for pieces explained: Pink Coral Rose Earrings

These rose beads are just so delicately carved I wanted them to be shown with no clutter or frills. I wound the pin around the back of the bead to prevent the bead from slipping around, and making sure the rose is always visible.

Inspiration for pieces explained: Printed Hearts and Garnet Earrings

I love Karen Hill Tribe Silver, and these wonderful beads are a lovely example. Each bead has such a delicate pattern. I wanted to add red, the classic colour of love. So what else, but garnets to top and tail the hearts?
