I adore Victorian Whitby Jet, and these are such a wonderful shape! Probably from a necklace, I found these beads in a lot several years ago, and after much debate decided that they needed to be earrings. Lovely!

When I found this labrodite, I had to have it. Labrodite contains glimmering purples, greens, blues and yellows, and these beads are simply the best I have ever owned. Now I could have just re-strung, but I decided to get eh maximum out of each stone I needed to add contrast and darkness, with the lovely vintage glass. This allows you to view each labrodite as an individual, and revel in their stunning beauty.

I adore this necklace because the colours and cuts of the gems are just so original! Each stone is shaped like a little anvil, but with a soft, frosted interior, and sharp, glistening facets. The colours range from clear to black, giving a lovely depth to this stunning necklace.

I adore these stones. They have such an unusual cut, and the frosted/faceted quality of them is just stunning, and subtle. Although I have created pieces that insert different stones or colours into the piece, I had to make this all black. It is now so glamorous I think it would grace any occasion, it has just enough subtly and sparkle to give you an air of mystery.
And I have a confession to make. 'Dark Night' does refer to the Batman film. Well, on their own, these little dark delights look like little bats!

I really wanted to create a special range of jewellery, and the most precious gems available were the obvious choice. However, as I wanted to create an affordable range, I wanted to distribute the stones within the pieces, while still giving them the maximum impact.
This was partially inspired by some incredible 'triangular' stones I had found, that I wanted to use in a special a piece as possible. These became earrings in the Oh My! range. So, I decided to use rock crystal. Because of the high-sparkle impact of the stones, and the refractive qualities, it takes the rubies and really emphasises them to the max. Stunning, and very exiting! Next step, diamonds :)

I went for these larger rock crystals, and not the stones that inspired me as the original stones were very small, and have highly cut edges, making them perhaps uncomfortable to wear in a necklace, but perfect in earrings. I decided to not focus the sapphires in one area, either, distributing them evenly with the rock crystal so you get the colour right around the necklace. Stunning, and very exiting!
Next step, diamonds :)

I was given a vintage glass necklace with stunning beads, each contains all the colours of the rainbow. As the overall effect was rather too much, I decided to create a bracelet with black agate and the pretty glass beads. It works really well as the gleaming black grounds and emphasises the rainbow shafts of light that come off the pretty stones.

Pearls have a lovely shine to them, and pairing them up with quartz always works well, you get such a lovely sparkle from the facets. However, using frosted quartz gives a stunning look too, but in a different way. This time it is the pearls that give the shine, with the quartz adding a gorgeously soft look. Overall the piece then ends up subtler and softer, but no less glamorous.

I love peridot, and was amazed at the clarity and colour of these stones. I didn't want to clutter up the stone with additional features, simplicity is best in this case, and it gives the stones the chance to shine.

Oooo, I love these citrines. The colour is just stunning, the clarity pure, and the facets dance across the surface giving maximum sparkle. These were crying out to be shown off, so a simple setting they get!

I adore these stones. They have such an unusual cut, and the frosted/faceted quality of them is just stunning, and subtle. When I bought them, I actually just bought smokey quartz, which is a lovely, warm brown.
When they arrived, however, I realised that there was two shades of brown in the multiple strands I had bought. Never one to miss an opportunity, I separated out the stones, and alternated, so you get this wonderful change in colour to add to the soft and sparkle of the stones themselves.

There is something about aquamarine and amethyst that just works, the stones zing together delightfully. I just had to pair the two up for these earrings, but as the aquamarines were smaller than the amethysts, I decided to do a reverse triangle, with the largest amethyst at the top. I think they work really well, and are very subtle!

I had the amethysts left over from another project, and really wanted them to so in something special. I found the Karen Hill Tribe silver rounds, and had to have them to make this bracelet. The deep purple shines out from the silver so amazingly, I'm so glad I made that choice.

I love drops, and I thought the delicate colour of the amethysts was just so pretty they deserved to be showcased. I love the purple and silver together, and the frosting just adds to the piece. As they were round, I felt that a round earrings stud would suit them better than a drop, and I'm really pleased with the result. They are so feminine.

I adore the cut of these stones, they have faceted ends that sparkle with an icy bright glint, and frosted middles, and the white quartz is just so fresh. I have used these as interlocking pieces, as the quartz is shaped to fit together, but decided instead to add some ping with a fresh, bright colour... and it had to be peridot. This piece really leaps off the wrist!

Turquoise is one of those stones that look very striking, especially when in large quantities. I didn't want to use a large chain for this piece as the stones are small, but I did want to create a layered look, so I used a smaller chain to get the look I wanted.
