I found the original cufflinks at a fair years ago, but never quite knew how to mount them. The cufflinks weren't silver, and were in bad condition, so restoration was impossible. I tried several ways of mounting the earrings but it never worked, I put silver balls into the holes, tried them vertically, until I hit on the idea of wire-wrapping through the holes. I love the end product, and although they don't quite match, they are a stunning pair of earrings, with a lovely heritage!
