Inspiration for pieces explained: Oh My! Emerald Earrings

I really wanted to create a special range of jewellery, and the most precious gems available were the obvious choice. However, as I wanted to create an affordable range, I wanted to distribute the stones within the pieces, while still giving them the maximum impact. This was partially inspired by some incredible 'triangular' stones I had found, that I wanted to use in a special a piece as possible. These became earrings in the Oh My! range.

So, I decided to use rock crystal. Because of the high-sparkle impact of the stones, and the refractive qualities, it takes the emeralds and really emphasises them to the max. I went for these larger rock crystals, to match the necklace (http://www.jewellerydragon.com/N22141.htm). The end product is so exciting!
